মুগ্ধতায় থাকিয়ে থাকা তোমার দু চোখের মায়া কে বারবার উপেক্ষা করতে চেয়েছি কিন্তু পারিনি। অবশেষে, তোমার সেই কাজল কালো মায়া সরোবরে ডুব দিয়েছি বেশ যত্ন করে। তোমার অনন্ত সলিলের দহন জ্বালায় আজ আমি ভীষণ জর্জরিত। তোমাকে ছাড়া অন্য কিছু ভাবাই আজ আমার জন্য বড়ই দুঃসাধ্য। অথচ তুমি !

• বিশ্বাস করো – ওই শিকারি মাছরাঙ্গাটির মতো টুপ করে ডুব দিয়ে মহা আনন্দে যদি ডানা মেলে উড়ে যেতে পারতাম,
• ভুলে যেতে পারতাম তোমাকে, তবেই হয়তো হতাম মহা সুখী।
• এইভাবে নিজেকে নিজে অন্তত দগ্ধীভূত হতে হতো না।
