Poetry-
Yet I am happy

Whatever I have, or whatever I had –
I have given away everything.
I could not keep anything of it,
I could not be so stingy.
You have effortlessly made yourself
the supreme wealth.
I have become a pauper
having lost everything.

Yet I am happy, very happy;
there is no sorrow or anger.
You are happy, thinking of this fills –
this empty chest.
What is there in this happiness,
how much honey it brings to the mind and soul,
how can the one
who has not loved or
who has not received it-
Is he never understand?

কবিতা-
তবুও আমি সুখী
– আশীষ কুমার বণিক

আমার যা’ আছে, অথবা যা’ ছিল –
সবই আমি করেছিনু দান ।
রাখতে পারিনি তার কিছুই অবশেষ,
হতে পারিনি এতটুকু ও কৃপণ ।
অনায়াসে তুমি নিজেরে করেছ
পরম ঐশ্বয্য ময় ।
হয়ে আছি আমি কাঙালিনী
হারিয়ে সর্বস্ব ময়।

তবুও আমি সুখী, বড় বেশী সুখী ;
নেই কোন দু:খ ক্ষোভ ।
তুমি আছ সুখে, এ’কথা ভেবে
ভরে যায় – এ’ শুন্য বুক ।
এ’ সুখে কি আছে, জুড়াই মন – প্রাণ
কত মধু আশে,
যে’ ভাল বাসেনি অথবা যে পায়নি
সে’ জন বুঝিবে কিসে?
